John was born in Salina, a small town in the heart of Kansas (no kidding!). He started out singing along with Elvis and The Beatles and then in his early teens began writing songs and singing with his own band. For years, John toured the Midwest extensively, performing in clubs and concert halls and opening for major recording artists.

A tremendous range and fantastic stage presence give John great versatility for both studio sessions and live performances. He has extensive stage experience, touring with bands as well as performing corporate productions nationwide for clients such as American Airlines and AT&T. His studio and jingle work clients range from San Diego Dodge to McDonalds.

With his passion being songwriting, John has written and recorded many of his own songs as well as collaborated with others, in many different styles. John's original songs have won songwriting contests and his singing commercials have been heard throughout the United States, Japan and Europe.

John's formal voice training includes two years of opera. He considers Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney his biggest vocal influences.

Currently, John continues his studio and jingle sessions and also fronts his cover band, Baytown, which is located in San Diego and performs throughout Southern California.

John is a member of SAG, AFTRA & ASCAP.
